This is in something of an international style, but the Italian character still comes through. It was at its best immediately after opening; after about 90 minutes it started to develop the sweet cherry taste of a wine that has had too much air, and some alcohol started showing, indicating that the drinking window on this may be shorter than I thought. Very good value at a bit under $50.
