Friday, June 24, 2016 - Most Excellent Friday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine. 2015s have barely started ML, but malic acid is approximately 1/3 normal levels, making these far more accessible than in most vintages. Great cross-section of ripe black fruit aromas and flavors. Lots of spice throughout. Precocious and probably accessible young, like the Chambolle Villages, but also with lots of elegant structure. VG+ potential for its level.
