Tuesday, July 26, 2016 - Dark cherry, cassis and cherry liquor on the nose with a hit of herb and oak. Palate is explosive, cherry and currants galore, some tea and a fairly massive tannic/acidic backbone that does dissipate so it allows it to be enjoyed now. The tail end has a sweetness that makes it kinda taste like cherry jolly-rancher. There is a lingering milk chocolate and sweet cooking spices as the night progresses. This wine is insanely good and has similar profiles to some HSS and Insignia's that I've had. Great deal.
