88 Points

Thursday, August 25, 2016 - Well this is very interesting indeed. I agree with most of the recent scores here but not the comments. I'm definitely in the camp that sees this wine as past its peak. The fruit has all but left and what's left of it is more on the red cherry, raspberry side but muted at best. What's left is a muddled mess of soft tannins that once were great but have since left and we are left with a core of nothing but dusty earth and licorice notes, which is fine but with no fruit as a backbone leaves me wanting more from this wine. Bummer.
