90 Points

Saturday, January 19, 2008 - Wonderful, nose of cherry and casis. A lighter, cousin of cabernet sauvignon, with a smooth, elegant finish. Food friendly wine, which will go with a wide range of red meats, stews and hearty winter cuisine. Really enjoyable. Alexander Valley Vineyards has been up and down over the years, according to the wine press...but every one of their wines I've tasted has been really enjoyable.
