Monday, January 21, 2008 - Pretty nose of tobacco and dark cassis. Soft, smooth and thickly textured with lots of dark fruit flavors and strong tobacco notes. Finishes very ripe and intense with fairly sharp tannins lurking under the cloak of fruit. Delicious to drink now but should improve over the medium term as the tannins settle out. Has that roasted character of the vintage but it tastes great right now.
