Tuesday, December 20, 2016 - Rich without being heavy or hot; masculine and complex aromas; very good length and depth. Very hard to characterize this wine -- I can't map it onto any Burgundy equivalent, nor is it the usual ripe red/black fruit aromas of California pinot noir. Very savory. A wine I admired more than I enjoyed, but objectively well made and drinking very well right now.
