Thursday, December 29, 2016 - Year end dinner at Jade Palace. Fourth red in a flight of 4. Very deep browning throughout. This wine was very aged. Dried rose petals, herbs, decaying leaf, damp earth on the nose. Skinny on the palate, with thinning fruit, some sour cherries and pomegranate. Old leather, mushroom, black tea and damp earth. This wine is somewhat pass its prime and would have been a treat around 5-8 years back.
