Saturday, February 4, 2017 - Vosne lunch at Garibaldi. Ex domaine from 375ml. Decanted for an hour prior to serving. This was a significant step up from the 2008 Mouchere I drank a month ago. Bright gold in appearance, very primary. Expressive nose of toast, olive oil, lemon juice, white flowers, matchstick and crushed rocks. Balanced on the palate, with a good amount of sweet ripe fruit, along with good acidity levels and a very good Puligny profile. This put on more weight with time, and drank really well after 2-3 hours. The finish was slightly short, but in a few years, this will be a fantastic wine.
