Monday, February 13, 2017 - Drank this at Chef Chan's Restaurant tonight with some wine mates. Theme of the night: Wines from the Year of the Rooster.

The oldest wine of the night. The oldest wine I have ever tasted.

Way past its prime but gave beautiful insights on how good wines can age gracefully and beautifully.

Brownish in colour with some earthy and mineral notes. On the palate the primary fruity notes were gone. In place, the sour plum notes were very pronounced with some whiffs of tar and preserved fruits.

The evolution in the glass is very fast and it moves from stage to stage very rapidly.

Did not rate this wine very highly but it was a very memorable and moving experience to taste a 60 year old wine.
