Sunday, February 19, 2017 - Slow O'd for about 6 hours, then poured into a decanter to remove sediment. Cork was in great condition and very tight.
Dark impenetrable purple with no signs of aging. Nose had plenty of dark chocolate, blackberries, menthol and eucalyptus.
Bitter chocolate, dark fruits and vanilla oak and pretty tannic. Tannins settled as the night progressed as did the bitter chocolate with more blackberries and raisins coming out. Could have done better if decanted overnight as this wine was tasting super young particularly at this age for this vintage. Finish was long and had me wanting more.
