2023 New Year's Day Double Blind Tasting: Served blind. At bottle #14 in the night, my palate was wrecked. All I can say about this wine is that it is very well made and I enjoyed it but can't say much more than that. When am I going to learn to use the spit bucket at one of these events?

The one with Big Reds #3 (The Sail): Intense florals with purple inky fruits, licorice and kirsh dominating both the bouquet and palate. Slightly imbalanced and disjointed for me with overtly high and piercing acidity. I am not sure if this was a flawed bottle although it did not seem so.

Deep garnet red. Lots of blackberry blueberry a bit of plum some licorice and chocolate Very complex and elegant. Full bodied with fine tannins and very long finish
