Tuesday, February 21, 2017 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #016: Bordeaux 2005 ... How does it show now? (By VD): Expressive bouquet with creamy red berries, tobacco, coffee and toast. Still a youthful bouquet. On the palate a firm start with juicy dark and red forest fruits, some metal, firm acidity and still quite sticky tannin. A bit rustic with also some slightly green impressions. The wine is still too young, but holds a promise. It was definitely the most concentrated, youthful and promising wine of the flight, but not the most smooth in this stage. 92 - 93++
