Saturday, March 4, 2017 - Served blind. I was thinking Loire Chenin but was absolutely floored to learn that this was from 1988. Nothing in the wine's appearance, aromas or tastes would place it as a nearly 30-year old wine. The nose was quite fresh and lifted with minerality and fuzzy Chenin fruit. The palate was exuberant and zippy. Good mineral character. Persistent on the palate. Excellent.
