Saturday, March 25, 2017 - This pale yellow Sauvignon Blanc (which includes a 4% dollop of Sémillon) is fresh and inviting, with crisp acidity and bright flavors of stone fruits, citrus, kiwi and fresh-cut grass. Light-bodied and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it stays solid in the middle and closes with medium length. This is a delicious wine that, I suspect, is made substantially better by its minority contribution from the To Kalon vineyard. Sadly, it is hard for me to believe that these vines will not ultimately be replanted to Cabernet Sauvignon (for financial reasons). Drink now-2018.
