Was past its prime. Alcohol had taken over & fruit had faded. It’s normally a very nice bottle of sav b, that is consistent year in & year out. It’s my fault I sat on it to long.

Refreshing and fruity; more in the French- than New Zealand-style, i.e., refined flavors of apples, mild citrus, and pleasing minerality -- not outrageously acidic. Always a good choice with seafood or other lighter fare.

Really enjoyed this wine, notes of grass, quince, gooseberry, green apple with a slightly oaky finish. Gripping acidity, this is a simple wine, however, you cannot argue that is pushing high for the price. Very well made and finish is well balanced as well. Would buy again.

"Not bad for a Fume Blanc," was the phrase that the four of us simultaneously uttered. And it isn't "bad" by any means. It displayed some of the usual SB characteristics; a little lighter bodied in terms of core yellow a white citrus and stone fruit. The finish was nice and smooth. No alkaline or bitterness, which helped to elevate the fruit and keep it center stage. The stone fruit and quince flavors repeated on the back end.
Not as full bodied or complex as I'd like from a SB/FB, but still an ok summer sipper. Drink now.

Crisp and tight. Lemon grass, green grass and apple fruit with a little kaffir lime leaf. Nicely dry and balanced. The clear winner when tasted with five friends against St. Supery and Matthews.

Contrary to the current trend away from oak in American sauvignon blanc, this fume blanc delivers without overwhelming the fresh fruit flavors of lemongrass, kiwi and grapefruit presented here. One of my favorite USA varietals, this wine is distinctly different from the more popular NZ offerings. Worth a try while appreciating the differences.

This pale yellow Sauvignon Blanc (which includes a 4% dollop of Sémillon) is fresh and inviting, with crisp acidity and bright flavors of stone fruits, citrus, kiwi and fresh-cut grass. Light-bodied and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it stays solid in the middle and closes with medium length. This is a delicious wine that, I suspect, is made substantially better by its minority contribution from the To Kalon vineyard. Sadly, it is hard for me to believe that these vines will not ultimately be replanted to Cabernet Sauvignon (for financial reasons). Drink now-2018.

Very pale yellow in the glass. Very pale. More fruity, but slightly flowery nose. On the tongue delicate fruit flavors suggesting peach, kiwi, green apple. Very crisp and refreshing. A super easy wine to drink on a hot day—and even though it is, technically, winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, it is pretty darned hot, here, today.

Nice and smoky, and well rounded with Fruit and Acidity. More medium bodied and nice for BBQ or Sunday lounging around the pool with a Cigar.

Pleasant twist on a summer SB. Dry (or at least drier than your typical sauvignon blanc), with crisp lemon zest on the finish.
