Sunday, April 23, 2017 - I opened this because of comments made here. I decanted it at noon and first tasted at 4 and it was still tight. By 6pm it was opening up and giving that raisin nose and was turning into at least an Amarone, but still not what I'm used to. I would disagree that this is past it's prime. It really needs a long decant. It was nice and smooth, just not quite as pruny and heavy as usual. Thoroughly enjoyable.
