Friday, May 19, 2017 - Chicago Wine Flock...Winefool Serving Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Mostly Burgundy (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind in what turned out to be Faiveley 2001 flight. Opened 3-4 hours in advance, with a quick double decant. Mostly black fruit, some faint red fruit hints. Big and powerful, clearly showing Grand Cru density, but I thought if from Gevrey. Another of tonight's Faiveleys that needs plenty more cellar time.
