Thursday, May 25, 2017 - Some of the oldest chardonnay vines in Australia - planted between 1908 and the early 1970s. Still vert fresh and youthful, yet for me literally yet somehow falls short. Two much acidity, not enough generosity or class. A fascinating contrast to the 2012 Lion's tooth, Pyramid Valley chardonnay, which completely eclipses this.
I'd give it more time, but punches a tad below its weight and reputation.
