Monday, June 19, 2017 - Wine is dark ruby to purple. Almost opaque.
Concorde grape jelly, black pepper, dark stewed fruits, berries, jam preserves.
Med+ tannins, Med acidity, High alcohol, finish is med. Super hot and closed, tight.
Just really think this wasnt ready to drink. Never really opened up.
Palate similar to nose, dark jammy fruits, pepper.

*****Edit - approached the final 1/3 of the btl on day 3 and it was beautiful. Smooth, expressive, soft and long. Savory syrah characteristics turn more towards dark berry and vanilla notes. This ones on me, my fault..
