Monday, July 3, 2017 - The short version: smooth and peppery. More of a one-note than complex, even after it's been open for awhile. We spent about $50 for the bottle. For the single note and lack of complexity, that seems a bit high. The longer version: The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom, raisin, prune, raspberry, cherry and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), mushroom and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.
