Plenty of dark fruit, good tannin/acid balance and good structure. Medium oak and hints of leather and tobacco with a medium dry finish. Drinking well and may develop further over the coming couple of years.

Color: Purple Nose: Blackberry and Cherry Taste: Starts Fruity with Blackberry and some Earthiness with Smooth Tannins that round things out; Light Acidity and good lingering flavors Comp’s: Pretty good Representation of the Valley Terrior; Good for a PnP, but might not have aged as rich as it could be

I found it to be a robust ready to drink cab with a full body and soft tannins. It was great with a grilled NY Strip steak. Coming off of a disappointing 2012 L. M. Martini Cab Rosso Vineyard at 50% more, I like it a bit better than other reviewers. I'll buy it again.

I liked the 2013....but this year seems a bit thin and light. Easy drinker though and likely a crowd pleaser - but not worth $40+ and packing in the suitcase.

Dark garnet color Medium legs. Smells of blackberry and cassis. First taste was kind of tart. Fruit forward. Not a lot of complexity here. Not a bad wine but not worth the price.

Need to lay for a couple of years. Has a very strong bite with a lot of tannins up front. Not as good as other vintages that I taste. Not worth the price from Total Wine.

The short version: smooth and peppery. More of a one-note than complex, even after it's been open for awhile. We spent about $50 for the bottle. For the single note and lack of complexity, that seems a bit high. The longer version: The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom, raisin, prune, raspberry, cherry and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), mushroom and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.

Nice nose, spicy, lead pencil, long and solid finish. Needs at least 45 minutes to open. OK value at $40.00. Many others as good or better at this price point.

Lunch at Farmstead with the Amici team, first Cab of the event.
Medium garnet color. Wine shows dark fruits, black currants, earth and garrigue type notes. Medium mouthfeel and finish, soft and rounded at this stage (14 wines are much more accessible than 13...) Not much depth on the wine but nice - may add some weight and secondary characteristics with some bottle age.

Initial taste is well balanced. After breathing, it's jammy, black cherry and leather. Hints of tobacco.
