Friday, September 1, 2017 - Tasted blind, I do not beleive this wine received any air prior to being in the glass for a couple hours. It had a deep red/purple center with red/orange rims. The medium intensity nose of black cherry, anise, and brown spices was attractive.

In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied, smooth, and balanced. It also showed light tannins, firm acidity, and good length. There was a subtle complexity that should become more pronounced with time.

This appeared to have the goods to improve with both many years in the cellar and extended aeration. However, I would have to try it again to be more confident about a prediction.
