Thursday, September 7, 2017 - Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 3 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of garden floral perfume, citrus lime, passionfruit, and a dash of herbs. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet gooseberries, passionfruit, yellow citrus lime, pear, herbs, and nice touch of saline minerality. Long finish.
Very good quality. I was guessing a well-made Sancerre. Certainly a shining example of Alvarinho from a quality focused producer. Drink and enjoy fresh now and over the next 2-3 years. Great QPR at its dirt cheap price.
