2.5 years plus after the prior: The notes immediately below capture it well. And yes, the pleasant suggestions of quince remain. Distinctive and enjoyable over three nights.

Very enjoyable. I don't remember any vinho verde or albariño being this impressive. The wine is fresh and bright but not overly light or tart. I enjoyed drinking the wine on its own and with foods. It offers ripe pear, lemon, and lime flavors with pronounced herbal overtones. The aroma profile contained something exotic--a touch of lychee perhaps? Actually, the note of "quince" below is spot-on, but I shouldn't steal it.

Much better integrated than previous bottles. The white peach and stone fruits through the mid-palate have softened a bit of the sharper acidic elements, making for a more harmonious whole. The acid and mineral notes are still there, but no longer as disjointed as they felt before.

Medium straw. Ripe white stone fruit, citrus, mineral notes and hints of lanolin. Medium bodied with refreshing acidity and medium length. Nice texture, granular and good value too.

Kevin H’s note below is apt for us — especially the quince reference. Interesting/intriguing fruit and lovely acidity. Quite enjoyable over four nights, and we will get a couple more to see how it develops.

Youthful and needs a bit of time to open up. Nose of pears, wax, apples, perhaps a touch of quince. To taste, more pear and a lot of acidity. Tangy but the acid feel is pronounced. Plenty of body, good simple intensity. Should develop some richness but a bit too much acid showing for me.

This seemed really tight, with searing acidity and citrus wrapped around a white peach note. The minerality was there, but only after you got past the mouth puckering. Intensely flavored, but almost too much. I think this could be better with time or a good dose of air, but it was a whole lot to handle straight out of the bottle.
Finishing the bottle two days later and this is so much better; smoothed out, with tamed but still present acidity, which highlights the peach notes and builds to a mineral rich finish. I think this needs a couple years in bottle, which sounds a little weird for an Alvarhino. More correct than super complex, but still very good... 91ish.

Tight nose, packed with fruit, minerality and some ripe notes. Mouth is brimming with crisp acidity, but there's also a nice touch of complexity. A very balanced vintage, promising.

Open, fresh, expressive. Lots of ripe peach, Pink Lady apple, and a chorus of other stone fruits with lashings of flowers and the sea. Refreshing and packed full of flavour, this is such a versatile wine at such an attractive price.

Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 3 hours. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of garden floral perfume, citrus lime, passionfruit, and a dash of herbs. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet gooseberries, passionfruit, yellow citrus lime, pear, herbs, and nice touch of saline minerality. Long finish. Very good quality. I was guessing a well-made Sancerre. Certainly a shining example of Alvarinho from a quality focused producer. Drink and enjoy fresh now and over the next 2-3 years. Great QPR at its dirt cheap price.

Wow, this is benchmark stuff, especially when considering the price of $18. It will certainly age nicely for a number of years, but so fresh and delicious already. Always such a consistent producer.

Closer in style to the '14 and it doesn't have the overall intensity of the '15. Citrus, pears and white peaches give way to moderate minerality on the finish. Refreshing and ready to drink now, but probably a step behind the prior two vintages.

nose:zesty, flower, intense grapefruit, very clean nectarine fruit with more air
palate:despite alc is 12.5%(thinking the body is lean),the body is rich, round, intense n concentrated but nt heavy.crisp acidity.with more air display bags of ripe fruits blending sufficient mineral notes.refreshing wine.seems tere is slight residual sugar left behind.with alot more air, displaying more power with nice transparency.if this is blind,i wud guess tis is a sancerre sauvignon blanc.manage to get green notes
conclusion:a rather powerful white that seems this bttl is a serious white.hopefully with further aging, the fruits concentration might tone down abit.overall this bttl is definitely nt to be miss by those looking for a high serious,gd qpr wine

Light yellow in the glass, with a dry/crisp nose reminiscent of Muscadet.
Fruity and focused on the palate, decent acidity - not bad at all.
