92 Points

Sunday, September 17, 2017 - Lengthy and monitored decant given. Starts to show best around the 4 hour mark. I wholeheartedly disagree that this wine is past it's prime as a few reviews that have suggested.
Aromas show complexity with air time revealing the varietal make up of 40% Cab Sauv, and 20% each of Cab Franc, Merlot and. Petite Verdot.
Currant, plum and cherry notes show with bramble, herbs, tobacco, leather, French pressed coffee, earth and old forest.
The palate reveals this wine is still in its prime with vivid, juicy acidity, firm full tannins and density with flavors of slightly dried cherry, plum, currant and bramble berry with dried herbs, tobacco, coffee, old leather, and dried flowers notes. Full smooth texture and persistent through the finish.
