Monday, November 13, 2017 - Fabulous colour, tawny fading to very distinctly brick edge. Clear and relatively pale.
Nose is wonderfully rounded, quite tertiary with some red fruits, hints of spice but so warm and inviting.
On the palate it is quite gentle on opening but promises more with some time in the decanter. Incredibly, there's still some tannin present. Initially red fruits and a hint of oak. With time in the decanter it puts on weight and develops a complex melange of tertiary flavours and spice. Nicely integrated and not overly heavy.
