Tuesday, November 14, 2017 - Nice clean, crisp Chardonnay; notes of citrus (pineapple) and baking spice with a smooth and refined finish. A bit more fruit and a touch less minerality compared to the Winderlea chardonnays of earlier vintages. Served with Cajun shrimp sautéed in butter, roasted Brussels sprouts with za’atar, and a rosemary and olive oil wild rice. The balance of the wine enabled it to highlight each item on the plate.
