Thursday, November 23, 2017 - Bright golden, thick legs, almost like a sweet wine. Fascinating aromas dominated by petroleum (rather discreet), licqorice and smoke, but also a grapfruitish tone in the back. Full bodied, almost thick in the first attackt in the mouth. First, the wine seems semi-dry, but the sweetness very soon gets replaced by bracing acidity (and some alcoholic feel). The aftertaste is dominated by grapefruit and apples, smoke, as well as some earthy tones. Long, but with some alcoholic warmth. This is a wine for food, probably best with fat fish like salmon or white meat. Will probably evolve positively in the next 3-5 years, but is most likely at the optimal level of maturity now. For the fans of full bodied rieslings.
