Monday, December 4, 2017 - Very dark. A touch closed. Monolithic and a bit one dimensional. Power over elegance. Odd chalky, grainy texture on the palate, like extract still in the wine- was it unfined. Very odd chewy sensation which was very off putting. Tannic beast which made it almost undrinkable. Dry year and hard tannins coming through. Nice fresh nose so maybe it all comes together in 20 years time? Troubling as I want to like it but can't at this time.
