93 Points

Sunday, December 24, 2017 - Decanted about an hour. Quite dark with a thin clear rim and a touch of brick dust. Powerfully aromatic with notes of dense black fruit, sweet and savory spices and notes of earth and smoke. Authoritative layers of concentrated black cherry and plum. The palate in dense but lifted by bright acidity. The tannins are apparent but very well integrated. Long, complete and balanced on the finish, this leave a great impression. The 2005s are really starting to hit their stride. 93 pts. Drink now through 2021.
