Thursday, January 18, 2018 - 3rd bottle I’ve had in the past 12 months. Decanted 90 min. Dark cherry, herb, and animal skin profile. Good nose and presence, but really lacking “umph” in the late palate and finish. Priced a bit high compared to some superior BdMs.

1/18/2018 2:53:00 PM - IMHO, this one is a lot like the Banfi - needs almost 10 years to put on weight and add depth and length. My Banfi 2004's are just now coming into their prime. I have 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2012 of the Castelgicondo and am still waiting for all but the 2004. Some Brunelli can be drunk young, but this isn't one of them. Cheers! ;D
