Monday, January 22, 2018 - Nose of mature cherry and strawberry. Hints of earth and truffle, but not what I call sois bois just yet. Subtle but persistent floral notes of rose. Pallate well integrated with medium acid and alcohol. Smooth silky tannins. Long finish with cherry notes lingering above others. Not very complex, but pretty good for village tier Bourgogne. Two more bottles in cellar. I’ll give one 6 months and then the other a year to see if more tertiary development occurs.
