Upfront this is lush and generous for a 2011. Really nice fruit and depth of smoked herb and spice. Delicious. Only flaw is that it’s a bit short and thin in the finish.

Nose of mature cherry and strawberry. Hints of earth and truffle, but not what I call sois bois just yet. Subtle but persistent floral notes of rose. Pallate well integrated with medium acid and alcohol. Smooth silky tannins. Long finish with cherry notes lingering above others. Not very complex, but pretty good for village tier Bourgogne. Two more bottles in cellar. I’ll give one 6 months and then the other a year to see if more tertiary development occurs.

Light body. Very floral nose. Nice acidity with medium soft tannins. Bright fruit flavors of raspberry and strawberry. Drinking well now, but the acidity should enable some aging. Good value.

I thought this was great value, although it took a few years to peak given the cool vintage.
Drink up or hold, no upside anticipated.

La Paulée Meets Chicago: Off the Grid Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Attractive spice and floral start with fresh fruit. Firm on palate for now, less accessible vs when last tasted a year ago, so cellar for another year or three. No green notes. Good potential.
