Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Man this wine is hard to figure out. It has a unique texture and from one sip to another is can be really good to meh. The nose is blackberry jam all the way. You get a flood of dark fruits up front and a swoosh of lighter fruit on the short mid-palate but it transitions into a really long finish of plum, chocolate, cassis and a nice touch of oak that is surprisingly subtle. It really can jump around from sip to sip but after awhile I realized that's what I liked about it.
