Friday, February 23, 2018 - The 2011 Barolo Bricco Pernice embodies the hallmarks of this warm vintage. The wine is markedly aromatic and approachable at this stage, showing rich red fruit that airs on the sweeter side of the spectrum. The bouquet delivers red cherry, strawberry, spice and violet aromas that blossom with time in the glass. There’s extraordinary concentration of flavor and fine tannins on the palate, leading into an elongated, mineral-laced finish. Drink now or hold.
