Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - Punchy and expressive from the moment the cork was pulled. The nose has some aniseed, sarsaparilla root, ginger, smoke and red and black fruits. There's a core of ripe cherry in the mouth and it is a plush wine with a velvety feel against the gums. There's good detail and a fresh crunchy finish with the suggestion of tart cranberry to the finish. An outstanding village wine.
