Best Vosne village wines: The others set a high bar and this was rather blocky in comparison. Not as seamlessly integrated at the moment, especially on the nose where the oak spice was most obtrusive out of all the wines.

It took a few hours to open up. The fruits were a bit hidden because of the oak? 2010 is a great vintage I can taste the potential. It’s probably in the middle of the development so it’s not as impress as the 2015. Try in age 15.

Punchy and expressive from the moment the cork was pulled. The nose has some aniseed, sarsaparilla root, ginger, smoke and red and black fruits. There's a core of ripe cherry in the mouth and it is a plush wine with a velvety feel against the gums. There's good detail and a fresh crunchy finish with the suggestion of tart cranberry to the finish. An outstanding village wine.
