Monday, April 30, 2018 - Slightly better than the '99 we just had but awfully similar. Nose is classic Bordeaux with dark fruits, cigar box and cassis. It has quite a bit of sense of place but lacks some extraction to give it more depth and structure. Aside from tannins being quite mellow, there's not many signs of development. I don't know if more time will do this any good. It's in a good stage right now.
