Wednesday, May 2, 2018 - 1/2. Good cork. Served at 15C.
Extra-ordinarily youthful appearance - medium purple/ruby core, pale purple rim. Nose shows blackcurrant fruit, touch of earth and smoke but quite youthful still. Medium bodied on the palate, a touch bony and angular with blackcurrant fruit again to the fore, some smoke and earth, fresh acidity and some grainy tannin on the medium length finish. Not sure how this will age given the likely obstinacy of the tannins.
