Wednesday, June 6, 2018 - Tasted the 04, 97 and 89 vintages recently. The 97 offered the most expressive nose. I enjoyed the rustic smokey, earthy elements blended with a bit of sweet fruit. I don't see this getting better. I plan to drink my bottles over the next few years.
I think the 89 is the better wine but will continue to benefit from a few more years of aging.
