90 Points

Friday, June 8, 2018 - There's a lot of fruit ripeness coming off the nose here along with a hint of wood spice and some powder sugar and crushed rock accents. Smooth and polished on entry with a rather assertive orange cast to the sour cherry and blueberry flavors which are bright and zesty. Much lighter and fresher on the palate than the slightly brooding nose suggests. There's lovely length here and a character that is both playful and tautly sinewy. Just a lovely, firm, ripe glass of Burgundy with inner mouth perfumes that recall the flavors but are so fresh and high toned. A joy to drink, not huge complex but so fresh and structurally attractive, airy yet firm, that I find it quite compelling. Great persistence to the fruit as well. My only bottle and at the $42 I paid for it an acceptable value. If I had more I'd drink another one or two then save the rest for 2021-2028
