Saturday, July 7, 2018 - Dinner at Pizzeria Bebu (Chicago, IL): Unlike the awful 2011 (which I just can't understand for the life of me), this was popped and poured, and was much more enjoyable. This is clearly a riper and thicker wine, with more heft, more ripe fruit, and more complexity. There's a nice squeeze of lemon, though the acidity isn't as sharp (it feels a little dull, honestly) to go with the minerality here. This is clearly head and shoulders better than the 2011.
