Wednesday, September 1, 1993 - Jim’s bottle. A Sauternes masterpiece. Gorgeous orange gold color. Superb bouquet - oranges, peaches, tangerine. Not as spicy as some vintages of Yquem, more tropical fruity. Amazing definition and clarity for its size and power. Almost delicate. A prima ballerina of wine. No hint of over-ripe. It doesn’t get any better. Perfection.
