Drink Bordeaux’s bottle. Superb, powerful, intense yet lifted by acidity and its balance. A lot of tobacco leaf to begin. Then Latour flavors of cassis and black licorice. Very Pauillac. Fully ready.

Mature Coche Genevrières can be magnificent, with the oily texture and full body you sometimes get with Coche. Perhaps marginally less concentrated that a mature Perrières but that is quibbling. Starts at light in color then deepens to mid gold without losing focus or complexity. Elegant for its size, too. Arguably a trifle low in acidity. Great, don’t wait.

Interesting and unusual, as common with Goisse. Advanced. No bubbles after the initial spritz. Medium full. A note of ginger dominates at first. But not really a step up from the original disgorgement and not compelling.

3/22/2023 5:35:00 PM - Hey sdr: Thanks for becoming my fan; I've just reciprocated while checking out some of the awesome wines you've been drinking this year. Man, I've gotta start drinking with you and your crew when I'm in FL!
Cheers!
3/2/2022 4:58:00 PM - Stu,
With COVID winding down and our house finished it’s time to meet other wino’s. Let’s get a date on the calendar in April to pop some older champagne and Bordeaux’s. Reach me at 1955wine@gmail.com.
1/19/2020 3:40:00 AM - Hi guys. We live in Boca & belong to several wine groups both in Boca & in Ft. Lauderdale at Wine Watch (perhaps sdr, we have met....) Details available if either of you are interested Joel
2/7/2019 2:39:00 PM - Hello, jlgnml, you sure have an eclectic cellar. Mine is mostly champagne and Bordeaux, just a sprinkling of others. I like white Burg a lot but offloaded most of it because of premox, now drink it young.
Thinking of trying La Nouvelle Maison in Boca some Wednesday, let me know if interested.

2/7/2019 1:15:00 PM - Just finding ourselves in South FL more and we seem to have similar tastes. Older wines, especially champagne. Would like to meet more wino's with similar cellars. We are up in Boynton Beach.
