Saturday, September 15, 2018 - Rhone & 4 Shared Reds (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Ed, I was PARTICULARLY pleased to be able to retry this as I have been cellaring a bottle to give as a gift -- when the time is "right". ;)

73% C.S., 23% C.F., 2% Merlot, & 2% Petit Verdot; 15% ABV

N: RIPELY attractive cherries with other tough to parse aromas

P: LM body; NICE frt met by some puckerish astringency which somewhat resolves by the LONG, BALANCED finish with a swtness to the dusty tannins. NEEDS/deserves through '20, poss longer, then drinking for several yrs beyond its 10th. My EXC-/EXC. 94 pts The Tasting Panel. [Still available @ from $27-$59 from NUMEROUS wine-searcher sources.]
