Solid wine a decade in if you picked it up for the $40 it cost when first released. Dry but still has some solid fruit. Has another year or two in the bottle before returns diminish.

A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Bordeaux blend, with black cherry, plum, some spice on a bit uneven finish, expected more. www.winelx.com

Medium to full body. Intense with lots of acidity. A bit unbalanced. Mostly black fruits but tart and a bit off. Tries to imitate the Tradition which is a better red blend and more balanced. Not bad but not a great wine either. If the acidity and tartness backs off some, would appeal more to my palate.

Something unbalanced on POP, aerated and better. Light tannins, and purple"taste" meaning a less full flavored dark fruit profile. To me soft acidity- This is someone's favorite wine, it's really good not my favorite. The first time I tried this I thought it might be this is not my second bottle since and it's not living up to my memory of it. Nonetheless really good I'll try tomorrow and see if the score changes.

A very nice cab based wine. Dark fruit flavors [plum maybe] on the nose and palette. I also thought it was a little jammy, as has been noted by others, but I didn't feel this was at all unpleasant. I still have some bottles of this left, we'll see if this gets better over time.

Blend: 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot Had it at Sonny Lubick's Steakhouse (Ft Collins, Co) for $60. A little jammy as others have noted, but a very good Bordeaux blend. The 23% Cab Franc and 2% Petit Verdot are what makes it a bit fruit forward, but the Cab Sauv shined through with the steak dishes we had. Glad we had a chance to drink this, but not worth what the market is asking now. Drink now

Casual drink at ES BK. Pop and poured. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of violets, earth, red berry fruit, red cherries, grilled herbs. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), fine high tannins, medium+ body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red plum, red cherries, blackcurrant, boysenberry, green herbs, graphite. Medium+ finish. Good quality. Well-made. Nothing really stands out, except maybe the sweet ripe fruits that exhibit a bit more New World feels with air, on hindsight. I was actually guessing that this was a small Chateau Left Bank Bordeaux young ripe vintage ?2015. Can age. 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Fruit mainly from the Wappo Hill Vineyard in Stags' Leap and a small percentage from the To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville.

The aroma came across as somewhat classic Napa cab. A nice presence of fruit, definitely berries, and also a pleasant damp earth/forest floor aroma. The aromas were much more promising than the first bottle I opened when I first received my order of this wine. There was a lot more going on with the palette too. Fruit and solids tannins were present, and as the wine sat in the glass for awhile I began to pick up some floral hints as well that I didn't notice when I was just sniffing for the aroma. There was a nice finish that lasted in the back of my mouth and on my lips. This was far more enjoyable than the first bottle.

Drank this on the mondavi grounds for a concert. Pnp and had big blackberry right up both nose and first touch. Light oak, no vanilla (yea!) Med tannins med high acidity. Interesting pepper earth finish. (Zin like) We only had some nuts with it and that acid needs more food. Should soften a bit with age. Got better with 2nd pour so maybe open an hour or so next time.

Nice dark red fruit, very smooth tannic structure, but lacking acidity and complexity. Came off a tad hot and fruit-bombey, but otherwise a very good short term drinker.

Smooth and accessible enough - It's not a vanilla bomb, but maybe a tad too much of the sweeter side of oak for my tastes. A bit of metal on the finish, but I'm picking nits. Not an unreasonable value.

Nose: Dark red fruits, vanilla, soft spice and earth from a forest floor.
Palate: Same dark red fruits, greater spice with some oak and deep earth.
Medium dark Ruby. Dry (slightest hint of sweetness) with medium, fine and chewy tannins. Medium body with light acidity. Great finish of about 8-10 seconds. Deep and intense flavors. Big on the spice notes though. It maintains throughout and persists on the finish. Stands out more than the fruit and earth. Good quality to price ratio. If you enjoy spice, this is a great buy. Smooth and approachable now but can also sleep for about 6-8 years is my guess.

It was still drinking fairly nicely on the 4th night when I finished the last half glass I had left in the bottle.

Dark fruit, black licorice and some savory spice notes. A little sweetness at the front of the palate with some pepper on the finish. I'd say medium-lowish tannins and medium acidity. The body is a bit lighter than I'd expect at medium-plus. This wine seems like it's being made to be drinkable now, there's not as much structure as I'd expect, but I think it's well made in its intended vision.

Retailer tasting. The wine was dark ruby in colour and had a very nice, Cabernet-like, constantly evolving nose of black currant, cherry, blueberry, spice box and cedar notes. Black currant, cherry, coffee, spices and floral notes on the palate, with good acidity, medium-plus tannin that still requires some time, and very good length. I am struggling with the decision if it’s a “buy” at the given price or not, but it certainly is a very good Cabernet that already provides pleasure.

I have this wine on several occassion's and I continue to think it disappoints. Larger production style wine that manages to deliver large plum and prune notes set amidst a closed and tannic wine. Shriveled tongue finish which is out of balance.
I think it could improve but the acidity is large and tannin's overwhelming.
