The nose was a nice mix of plum, blackberry, spice, tobacco, and dark chocolate. Soft and silky on the palate, and with medium body. Far different in complexity and concentration than the 2009 grand vin, but this represents VCC well. It does seem that there's soft structure, so I do wonder how long this will age.
