Tuesday, November 13, 2018 - Reductive and a little gassy at first but quickly blew off into a polished black cherry lacquered nose. Youthful, dark, intense. Has all the fruit of the ‘93 Chambertin but not the same detail and complexity to the terroir-driven aromatics. Still several gears ahead of the ‘93 CSJ, which I also thought was excellent. Fresh and pure but surprisingly dark. Great.
