Thursday, November 29, 2018 - low depth of color, reddish rim. on the nose pretty classic nebbiolo… red fruits, rose, chestnut spice… some tertiary mushroom aromas. on the palate extremely high acidity, firm mid palate, moderate amount of firm tannins… moderate alcohol. wine is firm on the balance scale, good length, very good intensity, very good complexity. Great QPR in the low 20’s… this does need an hour or so decant and should hold well over the next few years though i think it’s pretty close to its peak now.
